Ashley Landis is a freelance editorial and sports photographer in central Texas.

She regularly contributes to several local and state publications, and takes on the occasional commercial job between editorial shoots. She loves shooting sports of all kinds, small town festivals, local personalities, and pretty much anything that wanders in front of her camera.

Ashley grew up in Plano, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photojournalism from the University of North Texas in 2005.

Before opening Landis Images, she worked as a staff photographer and reporter at the San Marcos Daily Record from February 2006 to April 2010.

Ashley was awarded CNHI's Division II Photographer of the Year in 2008, and has been honored with other awards for Photojournalism, Feature and Sports Photography, Video and Multimedia from the Associated Press and Texas Press Association.

She is a member of National Press Photographer's Association (NPPA), Christians in Photojournalism and Sportsshooter.com.
